It has been widely accepted worldwide, that the greenhouse effect is by far most challenging threat in new century. Renewable energy adopted to prevent excessive effects, and enhance sustainable development. Malaysia a large amount of biomass residue, which provides country with much needed support foreseeable future. This investigation aims analyze potentials gases from major residues Malaysia. The potential gasses can be obtained using conversion technologies, including biological thermo-chemical technologies. technology includes four technologies such as gasification, combustion, pyrolysis, liquefaction. Biomass wastes attained through solid obtain syngas carbon monoxide, dioxide, oxygen, hydrogen, nitrogen. formation tar occurs during main reaction gasification pyrolysis. hinders equipment or infrastructure catalytic aspects, will applied tar. emission, produced gas reactions were investigated. help contribute challenges strategies, due biomass, harness resources management systems reduce problem waste.
